Bricks and mortar and see many more interesting shots.
I discovered, in my photo archives, it was easier to find stone and mortar. Alas, a few bricks & mortar
photo 1: construction and a pile of bricks soon to be a brick side walk.
Amsterdam, 7/2011
photo 2: plaster peeling off to expose bricks and mortar.
Istanbul, 7/2011
photo 4: big brick and mortar.
Site of Aristotles school, Assos, Turkey 7/2011
photo 4: and one stone and mortar picture.
fountain surface, Taksim, Istanbul, 7/2011
The third picture is worth showing time and time again.
ReplyDeleteI love that second picture, all the buildings butted right up against each other. Great set of pictures!
ReplyDeleteThese are all great - I love the Turkish ones and coincidentally had "Taksim" from Jordi Savall's Istanbul album playing when I read this post!
ReplyDeleteThe stone patterning is interesting - and of course there are cigarette butts! :)
There MUST be a story going on in the first shot. I can almost see the caption bubbles over the heads of each person. Brilliantly captured, Sara. Then again, they all are: Love how you've captured the tone of the theme so richly!
ReplyDeleteNice job of capuring the theme- glad I found your blog- you have some delightful picture here

Lovely collection Sara! I love Carmi's challenges and you've done a great job! I liked them for different reasons, and the third one least of all until Bob's comment made me have another look. Then I saw the loveliness of the varied sizes and patterns. Thanks Bob!
ReplyDeleteI love the cigarette butts in the last pic too! :D
